Playing with No Matter The Weather Card Kit

Hello!  Today I am sharing a few projects I made this week using the Stampin' Up! "No Matter The Weather" card kit (item 156977).  This card kit provides all the items necessary - including card bases, card fronts, laser-cut images, baker's twine, epoxy rain drops and circles, stamps, Stampin' Spot (Basic Gray ink), detailed illustrated instructions, and co-ordinating envelopes - for you to complete nine cards.  Of course, you are also free to use the kit elements to create your own projects!  If you do not want to use the envelopes for their intended purpose they can be conscripted for use for their Shaded Spruce/So Saffron/Petal Pink DSP liners!
For each of my projects I will indicate which kit elements and additional Stampin' Up! products I have used.  At the end of the blog post I will also list which of the Stampin' Up! products used are retiring products from the May 2021-April 2022 Annual Catalogue and available, while supplies last, during the Last Chance Promotion, which runs until May 2, 2022.

Wishing You Brighter Days Ahead Box Card
For this box card I used a 6" x 11" piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 121044) scored at 3" on the 6" side and at 2 5/8", 5 1/4", 7 7/8", and 10 1/2" on the 11" side.  The two insert pieces are 3 5/8" long x 3/4" wide, scored at 1/2" on each end. From the kit I used the rain boots laser cut images (trimming the boots used on the back panel); the "Wishing you brighter days ahead" and "No matter the weather we're in this together" sentiment stamps; the splatter stamp; the Basic Gray Stampin' Spot; and, for the "Wishing you" sentiment, one of the white laser-cut circles.  I stamped the "Wishing you" sentiment using the Basic Gray ink; the splatter stamp and "No matter" sentiment using Old Olive ink (item 147090).  For the decorative paper panels I used You're A Peach 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 155686); Mossy Meadow DSP from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Neutrals (item 155226); and a leftover piece of the So Saffron Sale-A-Bration Simply Marbleous DSP.  To  mat the So Saffron DSP and for the back sentiment panel I used Basic White cardstock (item 159276).  I cut the scalloped circle from So Saffron cardstock (item 105118) using the Layering Circles dies (item 151770).  The little flowers were cut from Petal Pink cardstock (item 146985) using the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312).  I cut the grass and leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock and Pear Pizzazz cardstock (item 131201) using the following dies:
  • Birds & More dies - item 152721;
  • Honeybee Blooms dies - item 157951;
  • Horizon dies - item 157778; and
  • Grove dies - item 157844.
To the center of each of the little flowers I added one of the Pearl Basic Jewels (item 144219).

Let Love Grow Window Seed Packet Box
For this 4 3/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide x 3/4" deep flip-top box I cut and scored a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock (item 146981) as follows:  9" x 6 3/4" - scored on the 9" side at 3/4", 4 1/4", 5", and 8 1/2" (the 1/2" tab is the side glue tab); and scored on the 6 3/4" side at 3/4", 5 1/2", and 6 1/4".  This box is almost the same as my S'mores Bunny Box - only 1/4" taller - https://archiesatelier.blogspot.com/2022/03/easter-treat-holders-part-1-of-2-hello.html.  Before assembling the box I cut the window in the front panel using the Layering Circles dies (item 151770) and adhered the approximately 3 1/2" x 3 1/4" acetate (Window Sheets - item 142314) panel to the inside of the box's front panel behind the window opening.  I cut the scalloped circle frame from So Saffron cardstock (item 105118) also using the Layering Circles dies.  The two little hearts were cut from Petal Pink cardstock (item 146985) using the Birds & More dies (item 152721).  From the kit I used the rain boots and flower laser-cut images; the "let love grow" sentiment stamp (stamped on Shaded Spruce cardstock using Shaded Spruce Ink - item 147088); baker's twine; and an envelope for the So Saffron DSP liner to use on the two side panels.  I used a few Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430) - trimmed as necessary - to attach the laser-cut flower image and one of the small hearts.  This little box will hold quite a few seed packets for a little gift for a gardening enthusiast!

You Are Capable Of Amazing Things Rain Boots Card
For this card I used from the kit one of the card bases; the rain boots laser-cut image; the "you are capable of amazing things" sentiment stamp; the Basic Gray ink; and several of the epoxy circles.  I embossed a Smoky Slate cardstock (item 131202) panel using the Stitched Greenery die (item 155451), which I then glued to a Basic Gray cardstock (item 121044) panel, allowing for an approximately 1/16" border, which was then glued to the card base, allowing for an approximately 1/8" border. Over the embossed Smoky Slate panel I glued a 2 1/8" wide x 5" long strip of Calypso Coral DSP (6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Subtles - item 155229) on which I glued the rain boots.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip of Smoky Slate cardstock using the Basic Gray ink.  The sentiment panel was adhered to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430).  I added a few of the epoxy circles to the card front and sentiment panel.

Happy Easter Card and Treat Holder
For the base of this 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" top-fold card I used Petal Pink cardstock (item 146985).  I cut an additional Petal Pink cardstock panel, which I embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (item 152718), and then matted with a Smoky Slate cardstock (item 131202) panel, allowing for an approximately 1/16" border.  The "Happy Easter" sentiment, from the Easter Friends stamp set (item 157737), was stamped on a Petal Pink laser-cut tag from the kit using the Basic Gray ink.  The sentiment panel is adhered to a Smoky Slate cardstock scalloped tag, cut using the Scalloped Contours dies (item 155560). The scalloped tag was adhered to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430). The Petal Pink DSP circle (from one of the envelope liners) and the Smoky Slate scalloped circle were both cut using the Layering Circles dies (item 151770).  The Smoky Slate leaves were cut using the Grove dies (item 157844).  The white doily is one of the Heart & Home Doilies (item 157956) and for the bow I have used the Petal Pink ribbon from the 1/8" Cotton Ribbon Combo Pack (item 158140).  The laser-cut bunny images (two for the card and one for the treat holder tag) are from the kit.  To the inside of the card I added a Smoky Slate cardstock panel, to which I added a bunny image and two Smoky Slate cardstock leaf sprigs (also cut using the Grove dies).
To make the Petal Pink cardstock treat holder I used the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box dies (item 150644 - and currently available on the Clearance Rack!)  For the bunny tag, using the Layering Circles dies I cut a scalloped circle from Petal Pink cardstock and a matting circle from Basic Gray cardstock (item 121044).  The leaves were cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock (item 131201) using the Grove dies.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals, trimmed as necessary, to attach the bunny image to the tag.  To the tag I added one of the Petal Pink laser-cut tags (folded and hole punched to create the "hanger") and the little laser-cut heart from the kit.  I also used some of the baker's twine from the kit to tie the tag to the treat holder.

Live Life In Full Bloom Tri-Fold Card
For this tri-fold card I cut and scored a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock (item 146981) as follows:  10 1/2" (trimmed to 10 7/16" after scoring to ensure a smooth fit for the fold-in) x 4" - scored on the 10 1/2" side at 3 1/2" and 7".  From the kit I used the laser-cut rain boots and flower images; a card front trimmed to fit the center panel; two envelopes for the So Saffron and Shaded Spruce DSP panels; epoxy circles for the front of the card; and baker's twine for the bow on the inside of the front panel.  I cut the window opening, circles, and scalloped frames using the Layering Circles dies (item 151770) - two circles from Calypso Coral DSP (6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Subtles - item 155229); the front scalloped circle frame from Shaded Spruce DSP (6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Regals - item 155227); and the inside front panel scalloped circle frame from Shaded Spruce cardstock.  The "live life in full bloom" sentiment, from the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set (item 157689), was stamped on the trimmed card front panel using Shaded Spruce Ink (item 147088).

Let Love Grow Card
For this card I used two of the card bases; the "let love grow" sentiment stamp; one of the Balmy Blue laser-cut tags; and some baker's twine (for the bow on the little cultivator) from the kit.  From the second card base I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" panel, which I embossed using the Stitched Greenery die (item 155451) and matted with a Balmy Blue cardstock (item 146982) panel, allowing for an approximately 1/16" border.  I "ruffled" the edges of the Balmy Blue cardstock panel with the blade of my craft knife.  The sentiment was stamped using Soft Suede Ink (item 147115).  The leafy "plant" was cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock (item 131201) and the little heart "flowers" from Poppy Parade cardstock (item 119793) using the Birds & More dies (item 152721).  The flowerpot was cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock (item 153078) using the Rain Boots dies (item 157690) - I cut two flowerpots and trimmed one so that I had a more dimensional flowerpot rim.  The flowerpot (and the additional rim) were sponged with Soft Suede Ink.  The soil was cut from a small scrap of Early Espresso cardstock (item 119686) also using the Rain Boots dies (https://archiesatelier.blogspot.com/2022/04/a-few-projects-using-window-flower-box.html).  The little cultivator was cut from Early Espresso cardstock and the fork and handle from Silver Foil (Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack - item 156457) again using the Rain Boots dies

No Matter The Weather We're In This Together Card
From the kit I used for this card a card base; the "no matter the weather" sentiment stamp; a trimmed card front; a white laser-cut circle; the Basic Gray ink; a few of the epoxy rain drops; and some baker's twine.  The trimmed card front was matted with a Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676) panel, allowing for an approximately 1/16" border.  A 2 3/4" x 5" strip of Mossy Meadow DSP (Beauty of the Earth 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper - item 155841) was adhered to a Night of Navy DSP (6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Neutrals - item 155226) 3 3/4" x 4 7/8" panel, which was then matted with a Mossy Meadow cardstock panel, allowing for a 1/16" border.  Around the completed panel I tied a bow using the baker's twine and then glued the entire panel to the card base.  Over the baker's twine I adhered the matted rain boots image using Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430).  The stamped sentiment circle was glued to a Night of Navy cardstock (item 100867) scalloped circle (cut using the Layering Circles dies - item 151770) and also adhered to the front panel using Stampin' Dimensionals.  To the sentiment circle I added a few of the epoxy raindrops.

And finally . . .

Rain Or Shine I'm Here For You Card
From the kit I used a card base; a trimmed card front; laser-cut rain boot images; the Basic Gray ink; several of the epoxy rain drops; and baker's twine for this card.  The "Rain or Shine I'm here for you" sentiment, from the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set (item 157689) was stamped in Basic Gray ink on the card front that I cut using the Stitched Rectangles dies (item 151820).  To mat the sentiment panel I used Mossy Meadow DSP - You're A Peach 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 155686) and 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Neutrals (item 155226).  I sponged the edges of each of the Mossy Meadow DSP panels with Old Olive Ink (item 147090).  Before adhering the rain boots image to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430) I tied a bow around the boot using the baker's twine.  I added several of the epoxy rain drops to the front of the card.  To the inside of the card I added a strip of the Mossy Meadow DSP and a trimmed rain boot image.
