It's all about the greens!

(Part 2 of 2)

Hello!  Today I am sharing a few more projects from the challenge I set for myself to make treat/gift holders using each of the Stampin' Up! greens - Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Mossy Meadow, Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and Just Jade - a very versatile array of shades representing each of the four basic Stampin' Up! colour collections - Brights, Neutrals, Regals, and Subtles - and the two In Colour collections. Think of all the shades of green when spring appears - green is a colour that deserves to be celebrated!

Hello Fabulous Favour Bag - Mint Macaron (Subtles Collection)
For this favour bag I used two of my favourite die sets - All Dressed Up dies (item 151665) for the bag itself, and the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312) for the flowers, leaves, and bow!  I used Mint Macaron cardstock (item 138337) for the base of the bag, leaves, small flowers, and sentiment circle; and Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the handles, large flowers, flower centers, bow, and scalloped circle.  I cut an additional bag front from Hand Penned 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 155499) and glued it to the front of one of the Mint Macaron cardstock bag sections before assembling the bag.  The "hello fabulous" sentiment, from the Dressed To Impress stamp set (item 158321), was stamped on Mint Macaron cardstock using VersaMark Ink (item 102283) for a subtle tone-on-tone effect.  The sentiment circle and scalloped matting circle were both cut using the Layering Circles dies (item 151770).  For a little more sparkle for the front of the bag I added five Opal Rounds (item 154289) - two of the larger size for the flowers' centers. This little bag holds two tubes of facial cleansers that I picked up at Dollar Tree - perhaps this little bag could make a nice favour bag for a spring bridal shower.

Butterfly Circle Window Treat Holder with Handle - Old Olive (Regals Collection)
The "box" portion of this treat/gift holder measures 3 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" deep.  I cut the Old Olive cardstock (item 100702) 11" x 5 1/4" and scored on the 11" side at 1 3/4", 5 1/4", 7", and 10"; and scored on the 5 1/4" side at 1 3/4".  Before assembling the box I cut the "window" in the front panel using the large circle frame die from Birds & More dies (item 152721), and then on the inside of the front behind the window opening glued a piece of Flowering Fields 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 157670) approximately 3 1/4" x 3 1/4".  The DSP panels for the sides and back of the box, and the handle, are also cut from the Flowering Fields DSP, and I glued the DSP panels to the box before assembling the box.  The handle, also Old Olive cardstock, measures 1" x 11" and, after gluing on the DSP panel, is glued to the inside of the box sides so that the ends of the handle are approximately 1 1/4" down from the box edge.  To avoid getting sharp creases in the handle, before attaching it I slightly curled it using my bone folder (Bone Folder - item 102300).  To each side of the box I glued two buttons from my stash - a blue that I thought closely matched the blue tones in the window DSP panel, and a green that I thought closely matched Old Olive.  Before adhering the buttons I tied some embroidery thread (DMC 3766) through the buttons.  The butterflies were cut from Old Olive DSP from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments - Regals (item 155227) using the small butterfly die from Daffodil dies (item 157794) and the large butterfly die from Meadow dies (item 155852) *during the March 1 - 31 "Savings Are In Bloom" promotion, the Quiet Meadow Bundle - item 155847 - which includes the Meadow dies and the Quiet Meadow stamp set - is available at a 20% discount*.  For additional embellishment for the front of the box I added seven of the clear Polished Dots (item 158134).  I did make the blue shred using a paper crimper and some cardstock from my stash that happened to be the right shade of blue - I am not sure whether a recipient would be impressed by this or simply think I had way too much time on my hands!!

Just Because Mini Milk Carton Treat Holder - Mossy Meadow
(Neutrals Collection)
I have made quite a few versions of this mini milk carton - I really enjoy making the milk carton treat holders!  I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676) measuring 8 1/2" by 6"; scored on the 8 1/2" side at 2", 4", 6" and 8"; and scored on the 6" side at 2", 4", and 5 1/2". For the main DSP panels I used Beauty of the Earth 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper - for the additional grid DSP panel on the front I used a piece of Flowering Fields 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 157670).  The "Just Because" sentiment, from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set (item 157968), was stamped on Very Vanilla Thick cardstock (item 144237) using Soft Suede Ink (item 147115) - immediately after stamping I "buffed" the stamped sentiment by rubbing it gently with a piece of dry paper towel - this helps to soften the edges of the stamped image by slightly blurring the ink and helps add to a slightly distressed look.  The sentiment label was cut using the Ornate Frames dies (item 150664).  I added two of the copper Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots (item 156506) to the sentiment label.  Around the top of the carton I tied a bow using Mossy Meadow 3/16" Braided Linen Trim (item 154298 - currently available on the Clearance Rack!)

Embossed Panel Top-Opening Box - Just Jade (2020-2022 In Colour Collection)
For this box, which measures 4" x 2" x 1 1/4" deep, I used an 11" x 5" piece of Just Jade cardstock - scored on the 11" side at 1/2", 4 1/2", 5 3/4", and 9 3/4"; and scored on the 5" side at 1 1/4", 3 1/4", and 4 1/2".  For the construction of the box I followed the same procedure as provided in my February 24, 2022, blog post
(https://archiesatelier.blogspot.com/2022/02/a-few-more-sale-bration-projects-hello.html).  Instead of using DSP panels for this box I cut panels from Just Jade cardstock and embossed them using the stripes embossing folder (Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders - item 157980).  Before gluing the embossed panels to the box I lightly sponged Shaded Spruce Ink (item 147088) around the edges of the panels.  The flowers and leaves were cut using the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312) - the flowers were cut from Flirty Flamingo cardstock (item 141416) and Poppy Parade cardstock (item 119793); and the leaves and flower centers were cut from Shaded Spruce cardstock (item 146981).  For more embellishment I added a total of six of the Classic Matte Dots (item 158146) - Very Vanilla.  Around the box I tied a bow using the retired Just Jade 2020-2022 In Colour 1/4" Ribbon (I was lucky enough to pick this ribbon up when it was made available on the Clearance Rack several months ago!)

Lidded Window Box for Scotch Mints - Evening Evergreen
(2021-2023 In Colour Collection)

For this 3 1/2" tall x 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" treat box I cut and scored two pieces of Evening Evergreen cardstock (item 155574) as follows:
  • for the base - 6 1/2" x 5" - scored on the 6 1/2" side at 1 1/2", 3". 4 1/2", and 6"; and scored on the 5" side at 1 1/2"; and
  • for the lid - 3 1/16" x 3 1/16" - scored at 3/4" on all four sides.
Before assembling the base of the box I cut the window opening in the front panel using the smaller of the label dies from the Harvest dies (item 156504) - since I wanted the window fairly centered on the box I took into consideration the 3/4" depth of the lid edge when placing the die.  After cutting the window I glued an approximately 3" x 1 1/4" piece of acetate (Window Sheets - item 142314) to the inside of the front panel behind the window opening.  Around the lid of the box I tied a bow using Evening Evergreen 3/8" Windowpane Check Ribbon (item 158135).  I added two Pearl Basic Jewels (item 144219) to the lower right corner of the front of the box.

And finally . . .

For You Lidded Window Box - Soft Succulent (2021-2023 In Colour Collection)
For this lidded window box I cut and scored two pieces of Soft Succulent cardstock (item 155776) as follows:
  • for the base - 5 1/2" x 5" = scored at 1" on all four sides; and
  • for the lid - 5 9/16" x 5 1/16" - also scored at 1" on all four sides.
Before assembling the lid I glued on the DSP panel - for this I used a piece of Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper that I luckily still had on hand!  After gluing on the DSP panel I cut the window opening using the Ornate Frames dies (item 150664), and then glued an approximately 3" x 2 1/2" piece of acetate (Window Sheets - item 142314) to the inside of the lid behind the window opening.  After the lid was assembled I used a 1" circle punch to cut the thumb notches in two sides of the lid.  The "for you" sentiment, from the What's Cookin' stamp set (item 154491) *during the March 1 - 31 "Savings Are In Bloom" promotion, the What's Cookin' Bundle - item 155845 - which includes the What's Cookin' stamp set and the Cookin' dies - is available at a 20% discount* was stamped on a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock using Evening Evergreen Ink (item 155576).  The sentiment tag was cut using the small tag die also from the Ornate Frames dies.  The Evening Evergreen baker's twine (Fan Baker's Twine - item 158143) was threaded through the tag and then tied in a bow around the box.
