Playing With The Easter Basket Bundle!
Hello! Today I am sharing a few projects I worked on this week using the Stampin’ Up!® Easter Basket Bundle (item 166947), which includes the Easter Basket photopolymer stamp set (item 166940) and the co-ordinating Easter Basket dies (item 166946). This Bundle is featured in the January-April 2026 Mini Catalogue as part of the Easter Joy Suite Collection (item 166954). Unfortunately Stampin’ Up! advises that the Easter Basket stamp set (and consequently the Bundle and Suite Collection) is not currently available but expected to again be available for ordering the week of February 2, 2026.
To complete my projects this week I also used the following Stampin’ Up!® dies, Designer Series Papers, stamp sets, and additional Kit components:
- Sweet Bugs dies (item 167001) - for mushroom (of course!), flower, butterfly and snail, and tall leafy stem die cuts;
- Nature's Symphony dies (item 166925) - decorative hole punch strip, and wood plank die cuts;
- Gallery Blooms dies (item 165212) - additional foliage die cuts;
- On Display dies (item 167020) - additional foliage (hanging succulent die - for the basket "spiller"), and flower pot die cuts;
- Notes & Totes dies (item 165240) - fence dies used for shelf die cuts;
- Creative Haven dies (item 167208) - small and large tag die cuts;
- Gears & Textures dies (item 166853) - hole punch decorative strip die cut (trimmed);
- Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183) - square window opening, and banner die cut;
- Nested Essentials dies (item 161597) - rounded corner rectangle die cuts;
- retiring - and currently available as one of the discounted Last Chance Products - Scenic Adventure dies (item 165467) - ground cover edge die for additional "grass" for baskets, and, trimmed, for "soil" in tulip and daffodil flower pots;
- Lost Lagoon patterned paper from Thoughtful Journey 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (item 163303);
- small dual-toned checked patterned paper from Timeless Plaid 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (item 164678);
- Crumb Cake grid patterned paper from Nature Walk 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 166912);
- Gears & Textures stamp set (item 166851) - splatter stamp used for visual texture on Misty Moonlight cardstock (item 153081) On Display flower pots (stamped using Misty Moonlight ink - item 153118). I used Craft Stampin' White Ink (item 147277) for stamping the Gears & Textures splatter image and the grid image from the Heirloom Arrangements stamp set (Heirloom Arrangements Kit - item 165007) on Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) - "hello, spring" tag card, and on Granny Apple Green cardstock (item 146990) - small potted daffodil Creative Haven tag; and
- from the Heirloom Arrangements Kit (item 165007) I used one of each of the two different coloured pre-printed card bases (trimmed) for background panels for card fronts; and Pecan Pie patterned envelope paper for the Stylish Shapes banner die cut.
For foliage die cuts I used Lemon Lime Twist cardstock (item 144245), Granny Apple Green cardstock (item 146990), Old Olive cardstock (item 100702), and Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676), all shaded using Mossy Meadow ink (item 147111).
The images for colouring were all stamped on watercolour paper using StāzOn Jet Black Ink (item 101406), and coloured using a combination of the following Classic Stampin' inks and Classic Stampin' ink refills mixed with a little water and applied with a small paint brush:
- Daffodil Delight ink (item 147094);
- Real Red ink (item 147084);
- Basic Gray ink (item 149165);
- Mossy Meadow ink (item 147111);
- Crumb Cake ink refill (item 121029);
- Highland Heather ink refill (item 147167);
- Timid Tiger ink refill (item 165283); and
- Old Olive ink refill (item 100531).
For some additional shading I also used the following watercolour pencils (as regular colour pencils - no water added):
- Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive from Watercolour Pencils Assortment 1 (item 161700); and
- Gorgeous Grape and Crushed Curry from Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 (item 149014).
With the exception of the bunny images that were fussy cut the Easter Basket images were die cut using the co-ordinating Easter Basket dies.
For the Easter Basket daffodil die cuts I used Daffodil Delight cardstock (item 119683), shaded with Daffodil Delight ink (item 147094) and Crushed Curry watercolour pencil.
For the Sweet Bugs mushroom die cuts I used Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) for the base/stem die cut; Very Vanilla cardstock (item 166784) for the gills (top of mushroom trimmed from base mushroom die cut); and Poppy Parade cardstock (item 119793) and Pool Party cardstock (item 122924) for the mushroom cap die cuts. The Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla cardstock die cuts were shaded with Crumb Cake ink (item 147116); the Poppy Parade cardstock die cuts shaded with Real Red ink (item 147084) and Cherry Cobbler ink (item 147083); and the Pool Party cardstock die cuts shaded with Old Olive ink (item 147090).
For all card bases I used Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229).
Just a brief summary of the additional basic tools and supplies I used this week to complete my projects:
- Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (item 149653) - for all die cutting;
- Paper Trimmer (item 152392) - for trimming cardstock and DSP, and for scoring the card fold lines. To ensure crisp card folds I also burnished the folded score lines with my Bone Folder (item 102300);
- Take Your Pick Tool (item 144107) - the spatula and tacky putty tips are definitely a great help for manipulating and placing small die cuts and embellishments; and
- for the main adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755). For the first project I had to glue DSP to a trimmed cardboard panel, and after applying the glue to the cardboard panel, and spreading it over the panel surface with an old paint brush, I placed the DSP over the panel and used a brayer (Stampin' Brayer - item 162936) to roll over the DSP to ensure even coverage of the liquid glue and good even adhesion of the DSP to the cardboard panel. After the glue was thoroughly dry I used my craft knife to carefully trim away any excess DSP from around the edges of the cardboard panel.
I used Small Blending Brushes (item 160518 - package of three) to apply Classic Stampin' inks to shade/colour cardstock die cuts.
Full disclosure - I did find the "weaving" of the basket strips to be a little tedious, and although I certainly wouldn't relish having to do too many I did find the effort worth the while in the end!
On with the projects!
For the first project I began with a light coloured (Basic Beige and Crumb Cake tones!) wood frame from Dollarama, glass removed, inside back dimensions of 6" x 4". To complete the project I used the following additional supplies:
- Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953), shaded with Crumb Cake ink (item 147116) and Early Espresso ink (item 147114), for the basket and "strips";
- Flirty Flamingo cardstock (item 141416) and Poppy Parade cardstock (item 119793) for the two die cut bows - both shaded with Real Red ink (item 147084); and
- after gluing all of the basket contents to the basket I cut and glued together two 1" x 2" pieces of medium-weight cardboard that I glued to the back of the basket and then glued to the Nature Walk DSP-covered background panel.
Additional supplies used to complete this 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" top-fold card:
- Early Espresso cardstock (item 119686) for 5 1/4" x 4" matting panel (Heirloom Arrangments Kit card base trimmed to 5 1/8" x 3 7/8");
- from Lost Lagoon patterned Thoughtful Journey DSP a 1 1/4" x 3 7/8" strip for card front, and a 1/2" x 4 1/4" strip for the inside panel;
- over the Thoughtful Journey DSP strip on the card front I glued a 3/4" x 3 7/8" strip (ends torn) of coffee dyed paper on which I used a 1/8" hole punch to punch a series of evenly spaced holes down the middle - I added a 1 1/4" length from the original strip - both ends torn - to the inside panel;
- Pecan Pie cardstock (item 161717), shaded with Pecan Pie ink (item 161665) and Early Espresso ink (item 147114), for the basket and "strips";
- Strawberry Slush cardstock (item 165625) and Poppy Parade cardstock (item 119793), for the two die cut bows - both shaded with Real Red ink (item 147084);
- Basic White cardstock (item 166780) for six Sweet Bugs flower die cuts (two die cuts "stacked" for each flower) - to the center of each of the three completed flowers I added one of the small Pecan Pie dots from the Online Exclusives Earthy Matte Dots (item 167213); and
- to attach, and slightly pop up the basket/arrangement to the card front, Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430), trimmed as necessary.
Additional supplies used to complete this 5 1/2" x 4 3/8" top-fold card:
- from the Timeless Plaid DSP a 5 3/8" x 4 1/4" matting panel (Heirloom Arrangements Kit printed card base trimmed to 5 1/4" x 4 1/8") and a 1/2" x 4 1/4" strip for the card front, and a just under 1/2" x 4 3/8" strip for the inside panel;
- Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) for the two Notes & Totes fence die cuts - the wider fence die cut shaded with Crumb Cake ink (item 147116) and Early Espresso ink (item 147114);
- Pecan Pie ink (item 161665) to shade around the edges of the Stylish Shapes banner die cut - over this die cut and around the card front I wrapped the Linen Thread (item 104199) used for the bow;
- Misty Moonlight ink (item 153118) for additional shading on the On Display flower pots after I stamped them using the Gears & Textures splatter stamp;
- Flirty Flamingo cardstock (item 141416), shaded with Real Red ink (item 147084), for the tulip;
- Early Espresso cardstock (item 119686) for the flower pots' Scenic Adventure "soil";
- Azure Afternoon cardstock (item 161719) and Granny Apple Green cardstock (item 146990) - both shaded with Misty Moonlight ink (item 153118) - for the butterfly die cuts. To add a little glimmer to the butterflies I "painted" each with my Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (item 141897) - to attach the butterflies I added glue just to the body of each and slightly - and carefully - pulled the wings up with my fingers ; and
- Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430) and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item 144108) - trimmed as necessary - to attach and slightly pop up the potted tulip and daffodil.
Additional supplies used to complete this 2" x 1 5/8" tag:
- Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676) for two Creative Haven tag die cuts, which were glued together, wrong sides together, to give the tag a little more stability, and, in the event that the tag is used as a gift tag, to ensure there is a finished edge on the back of the tag where a sentiment could be added;
- Granny Apple Green cardstock (item 146990) for the Nested Essentials stamped panel;
- Very Vanilla cardstock (item 166784), shaded with Early Espresso ink (item 147114), for the Sweet Bugs snail die cut;
- Azure Afternoon carstock (item 161719), shaded with Misty Moonlight ink (item 153118) and "painted" with Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (item 141897), for the Sweet Bugs butterfly die cut;
- Pecan Pie cardstock (item 161717), shaded with Pecan Pie ink (item 161665) and Early Espresso ink (item 147114) for the On Display flower pot die cut;
- Early Espresso cardstock (item 119686) for the flower pot's Scenic Adventure "soil";
- Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430) to attach, and slightly pop up, the Granny Apple Green cardstock panel with potted daffodil, snail and butterfly attached, to the tag base; and
- Linen Thread (item 104199) for the tag hanger loop.
Additional supplies used to complete this 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" top-fold card:
- Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the Creative Haven tag die cut - the window was cut using the Stylish Shapes 1 1/2" square die, and for the Nature's Symphony decorative hole punch die cut. After die cutting the decorative hole punch die cut from a small panel of Basic White Thick cardstock I used one of the Stylish Shapes banner dies, centered over the hole punch decorative die cut, to cut the finished panel. Both ends of this die cut were then torn before it was glued to the side of the Creative Haven tag die cut;
- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708) to stamp the sentiment - the sentiment was stamped before anything else was attached to the Creative Haven tag die cut;
- Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) for the stamped panel trimmed to fit behind the window opening in the Creative Haven tag die cut;
- Pecan Pie cardstock (item 161717), shaded with Pecan Pie ink (item 161665), for the Nature's Symphony wood plank die cut, which was glued to the bottom edge of the Creative Haven tag die cut;
- Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430), trimmed as necessary, to attach the bunny and chick to the sides of the Creative Haven tag die cut, and then to attach the completed tag die cut to the card front; and
- Linen Thread (item 104199) for the bow - the knotted ends secured to the card front with tiny dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Before the coloured images were secured to the front of this 5" x 3 1/2" top-fold card I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708). After gluing the flower image directly to the card front I used Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430), trimmed as necessary, to attach and slightly pop up the bunny and chick.
And finally . . .
For my Archie project this week, shared at the bottom of this blog post, I used StāzOn Jet Black Ink (item 101406) to stamp the image from the retired Peace Within stamp set (item 114312 - featured in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue) on watercolour paper, and coloured the image panel using Pumpkin Pie ink (item 147086), Old Olive ink refill (item 100531), Pecan Pie ink refill (item 161669), Crumb Cake ink refill (item 121029), Highland Heather ink refill (item 147167), Shaded Spruce ink (item 147088), Early Espresso ink refill (item 119789), and Basic Gray ink refill (item 149166), all mixed with a little water and applied with a small paint brush. For additional shading I used Gorgeous Grape, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, and Early Espresso watercolour pencils. I covered a 5 1/4" square panel of light-weight cardboard with Garden Green patterned paper from the retired Poinsettia Place 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 153487 - featured in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue), and used the 2 3/4" square die from the Stylish Shapes dies to cut the window opening. After gluing the watercolour paper image panel to the back of the window panel I matted the window panel with a 5 1/2" square piece of Basic Black cardstock (item 121045). I used strips trimmed from Foam Adhesive Sheets (item 152815) to attach the matted panel to a DSP-covered cardboard panel trimmed to fit the 7 1/4" square inside back dimensions of the black Dollarama frame, glass removed. I used a Garden Green patterned paper from the recently retired Floral Impressions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 165603) to cover the cardboard backing panel. To complete the project I added to the bottom of the window panel a 3/4" wide x 5 1/8" long strip of coffee-dyed paper (ends torn) along the middle of which I had punched evenly spaced holes using a 1/8" hole punch, and over which I added a black button from my stash.
