Attention Shoppers!

(starting to play with the Attention Shoppers Bundle)

Hello!  Today I am sharing a few projects I worked on this week using the Stampin' Up! Attention Shoppers Bundle (item 163644) that is featured in the May 2024-April 2025 Annual Catalogue, and which includes the Attention Shoppers photopolymer stamp set (item 163640) and the co-ordinating Attention Shoppers dies (item 163643).  While it may not be true that retail therapy is always a good idea it is certainly a good idea to have some fun playing with this Bundle!  (The stamp set and the die set can of course be purchased individually - however, when purchased together using the Bundle item number there is a 10% Bundled Savings!)

Just a quick summary of the basic tools and supplies I used to complete my projects this week:

  • Paper Trimmer (item 152392) - for trimming paper and cardstock - can also be used for scoring;
  • stylus and scoreboard (Simply Scored Scoring Tool - item 122334) - for scoring fold lines and decorative lines - to ensure crisp folds I also burnish all folded scored lines using my Bone Folder (item 102300);
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (item 149653) - for all die cutting and embossing;
  • Paper Snips Scissors (item 103579) - these sharp little scissors are great for trimming die cuts - sometimes you just need to remove a few leaves!;
  • Take Your Pick Tool (item 144107) - the paper piercer, mini spatula, and tacky putty tips are a great help for picking up and placing small die cuts; and
  • for the main adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755).
All images and sentiments were stamped using Stazon Jet Black Ink (item 101406) - the images were stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with Classic Stampin' Inks.  I used a few additional stamp and die sets to complete the projects:
  • from the Country Birdhouse stamp set (item 163395) I used three floral images and the bird image - all images were die cut using the co-ordinating Country Birdhouse dies (item 163400) *the Country Birdhouse stamp set and co-ordinating dies are also available together in the Country Birdhouse Bundle (item 163401)*;

  • from the Country Flowers stamp set (item 163405) I used the large floral and bucket images - both images were die cut using the co-ordinating Country Flowers dies (item 163410) *the Country Flowers stamp set and co-ordinating dies are also available together in the Country Flowers Bundle (item 163411)*

(Bundle - 163411)
  • from the Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183) I used the 3" diameter circle die for the gift bag project (background for the goodie-filled shopping cart); the 2" diameter circle die for the note card; and the long narrow banner die (trimmed at one end) for both "happy birthday" sentiments;

  • from the Nested Essentials dies (item 161597) I used two of the rounded corner rectangle dies for the note card - both rectangles cut from Basic Black cardstock (item 121045); and

  • I used the Encircled In Nature dies (item 163628) to cut two curvy leafy sprigs from watercolour paper (watercoloured with Old Olive ink - item 147090 and Mossy Meadow ink - item 147111) for the Pool Party cardstock (item 122924) "happy birthday" card.

On with the projects!
For this gift bag, which measures 4" tall (excluding handles) x 4 1/2" wide x 2" deep - the same dimensions, and constructed in the same manner (with the exception of the omission here of the top flap) as the soft sided tool tote shared in my February 23, 2024, blog post "A Few Final Sale-A-Bration Projects!" (https://archiesatelier.blogspot.com/2024/02/a-few-final-sale-bration-projects-hello.html) - I used the following additional supplies:
  • for the body of the bag two 7" x 6" pieces of Smoky Slate cardstock (item 131202), each scored on the 7" side at 1" (down to 3" from the top edge), 2", and 6 1/2" (1/2" tab is the glue tab); and scored on the 6" side at 2" (bottom flaps).  Using a ruler and stylus I scored the diagonal lines from the bottom of the lines scored at 1" on the 7" sides out to the bottom corners of each side panel (my previous blog post includes a reference photo of the cutting/scoring template);
  • Smoky Slate cardstock for the 3" diameter circle die cut - I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (item 162481) to add the splatters by flicking the brush tip against the marker lid;
  • Smoky Slate cardstock for the base of the back panel's gift card pocket:  a 4 3/4" x 3" piece - scored on the 4 3/4" side at 1/2" and 4 1/4", and scored on the 3" side at 1/2" (bottom edge).  I added the extra 1/2" at the sides and bottom (these 1/2" flaps are folded under and glued to the back panel) to give a little extra gift card accommodation room in the pocket;
  • Smoky Slate cardstock for the shopping cart die cuts (2 pieces) - shaded with Basic Gray ink (item 149165) applied with one of the Small Blending Brushes (item 160518);
  • Smoky Slate cardstock for the handles' center strips (two pieces 11" x 1/4" - with a decorative center line scored down the length at 1/8" on the 1/4" side);
  • Basic Black cardstock (item 121045):  two 4 3/8" x 3 7/8" pieces for the matting panels for the front and back panels; a 3 5/8" x 2 3/8" piece for the matting panel for the gift card pocket (after gluing this matting panel to the pocket front I used a 1" circle punch to cut the thumb notch); and for the handles, two 11" x 1/2" pieces.  After I glued the scored Smoky Slate cardstock strips to the Basic Black cardstock handle pieces I used a pencil to mark a line 3/4" from each end of each handle to use as glue guidelines, and before gluing the handles to the front and back of the bag used my Bone Folder to give a slight curl to each handle piece (this avoids getting creases in the handle strips when bending them during the gluing on process);
  • Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229):  two 4 1/4" x 3 3/4" pieces for the matting panels for the front and back panels; a 3 3/8" x 2" piece for the sentiment panel for the gift card pocket - after stamping the sentiment I added splatters using my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker;
  • Smoky Slate check patterned paper from the Take To The Sky 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 163436):  two 4" x 3 1/2" pieces for the front and back panels, and a 3 3/8" x 5/16" wide strip for the gift pocket sentiment panel - I actually cut this strip a little longer as I wrapped the ends around the back of the sentiment panel before gluing the sentiment panel to the Basic Black cardstock matting panel;
  • inks to colour the cart goodies:  Granny Apple Green (item 147095), Mossy Meadow (item 147111), Pool Party (item 147107), Daffodil Delight (item 147094), Crumb Cake (item 147116), Misty Moonlight (item 153118), Pecan Pie (item 161665), Basic Gray (item 149165), and Garden Green Ink Refill (item 102059) and Highland Heather Ink Refill (item 147167); and
  • Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item 144108) to attach the upper portion of the shopping cart (with contents) to the Smoky Slate cardstock die cut circle.  I glued the cart contents to the upper portion of the cart before adhering both cart sections to the front panel - I glued the bottom portion of the cart directly to the Smoky Slate cardstock circle.
I used some 3/8" "almost Smoky Slate" satin ribbon from my dollar store stash for the bow tied around the handles.

Additional supplies used to complete this 5" x 4" top-fold card:
  • Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the card base, sentiment banner, and the 3 3/4" x 2 3/4" embossed panel. Before embossing the panel I first applied low-tack tape (Stampin' Up! Masking Paper - item 155480) around the edges of the panel to expose the center 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" section to which I applied Pumpkin Pie ink (item 147086) using one of the Small Blending Brushes (item 160518); and after removing the low-tack tape embossed the panel using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder (item 158804);
  • Basic Black cardstock (item 121045) for the 4" x 3" matting panel - I scraped all edges with the blade of my craft knife;
  • inks used to colour the stamped and die cut images:  Pumpkin Pie, Berry Burst (item 147143), Mossy Meadow (item 147111), Daffodil Delight (item 147094), Basic Gray (item 149165), and Crumb Cake (item 147116); and
  • three of the Calypso Coral shaded dots (two small and one large) from Ombre Matte Decorative Dots (item 161448) added to embossed panel.
Additonal supplies used to complete this 3 1/2" square top-fold note card:
  • Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the card base;
  • watercolour paper that had been watercoloured with washes of Pumpkin Pie ink (item 147086) and Daffodil Delight ink (item 147094) for the die cut circle;
  • inks to colour the stamped and die cut images:  Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie (item 161665), Mossy Meadow (item 147111), Berry Burst (item 147143), Real Red (item 147084), Basic Gray (item 149165), and Highland Heather Ink Refill (item 147167); and
  • Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430) to attach the die cut circle, shopping bag, and flowers to the card front.  I first glued the shopping bag and flowers to the die cut circle before using Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the completed "cluster" to the card front over the die cut rectangles, which were glued directly to the card front.
Using an envelope punch board I made the envelope from a leftover piece of the retired Perfectly Penciled 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 159244). For the bow I used 5/8" red & white gingham ribbon picked up at Dollar Tree.

The last two cards are both 4 1/2" square top-fold cards, and for the card bases of both cards I used Pool Party cardstock (item 122924).
Additional supplies used to complete the "happy birthday" card:
  • Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the sentiment banner; 2 3/4" square front matting panel; 2 1/2" square front inked panel (I first applied Pool Party ink - item 147107 - to the panel using one of the Small Blending Brushes - item 160518 - before adding additional splatters of Pool Party ink by flicking a paint brush used to mix the ink with a little water); and the 4" square inside panel;
  • Basic Black cardstock (item 121045) for the 2 5/8" square front matting panel, and 4 1/4" square inside matting panel;
  • inks to colour the stamped and die cut images:  Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie (item 147086), Mossy Meadow (item 147111), Daffodil Delight (item 147094), Berry Burst (item 147143), Pecan Pie (item 161665), and Highland Heather Ink Refill (item 147167); and
  • Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item 144108) to attach the large floral image.
Using an envelope punch board I made the envelope from a leftover piece of retired Rock & Roll 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 162695).  For the bow I used 5/8" "almost Pumpkin Pie" and white checked ribbon from Dollar Tree - I always try to remember to take my cardstock sampler with me when I go out shopping as I never know when or where I might find co-ordinating accessories!

Additional supplies used to complete the last and "just for you" card:
  • Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the front panel's 3 1/2" square splattered panel (Pool Party ink - item 147107 - splatters added by flicking the paint brush used to mix the ink with a little water); 3 1/2" x 1 1/4" torn embossed strip; and the inside 4 1/4" square panel;
  • Basic Black cardstock (item 121045) for the front panel's 3 5/8" square matting panel (edges scraped with the blade of my craft knife), and i4 3/8" square inside matting panel;
  • Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (item 162189) to emboss Basic White Thick cardstock strip - after embossing and tearing both ends I applied Pool Party ink and Crumb Cake ink (item 147116) to the strip using Small Blending Brushes (item 160518).  Before gluing the embossed strip to the card front I wrapped Linen Thread (item 104199) a few times around the strip, securing both the center of the bow and the knotted ends with tiny dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue;
  • inks to colour the stamped and die cut images:  Daffodil Delight (item 147094), Misty Moonlight (item 153118), Pumpkin Pie (item 147086), Pool Party, Berry Burst (item 147143), Mossy Meadow (item 147111), Pecan Pie (item 161665), Crumb Cake, and Basic Gray (item 149165); and
  • Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item 144108) used to attach bird and large floral image.  The large floral image was glued to the top of the bucket but the bucket and additional background single flowers were glued directly to the card front.
Thank you for visiting my blog!  I had a lot of fun starting to play with the Attention Shoppers Bundle - certainly looking forward to exploring more possibilities - lots of goodies could be used to fill the shopping cart . . . 🤔
