A Few Sale-A-Bration and January-April 2023 Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek Projects!
Hello!  Today I am sharing a few projects I worked on this week (in between extended bouts of snow shoveling!) featuring one of the Sale-A-Bration products, and one of the stamp set/die bundles from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalogue - the very pretty Sale-A-Bration Dainty Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 160834) co-ordinates with the Dainty Delight Bundle (item 160675) from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalogue, and includes the Dainty Delight stamp set (item 161078) and the Dainty Delight dies (item 160674) - while the stamp set and dies are available together as a Bundle (with the 10% Bundle Savings) they can also of course be purchased separately. January 5, 2023, is certainly a date to make note of - it is both the start date of the January-April 2023 Mini Catalogue and of Sale-A-Bration (which will run through to February 28, 2023).  On January 5, 2023, the PDF versions of both the January-April 2023 Mini Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure will be available for viewing on my website (https://archiesatelier.stampinup.net/).  The Dainty Flowers DSP is one of the free products available with a $60.00 CDN (before taxes) order.

Dainty Delight Bundle - item 160675
(Dainty Delight dies - item 160674
Dainty Delight stamp set - item 161078)

The basic tools and supplies I used to complete my projects include:
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (item 149653) - for all die cutting and embossing;
  • Paper Trimmer (item 152392) - for paper cutting
  • stylus and scoring board (Simply Scored Scoring Tool - item 122334) - for scoring paper and cardstock;
  • Bone Folder (item 102300) - burnishing score lines;
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755) - main adhesive; and
  • Take Your Pick tool (item 144107) - the putty tip is great for picking up and placing small die cuts and embellishments.
For the first two cards I also used the retiring Window dies (item 159756). There are only a few days left in the Last Chance Promotion (ends on January 4, 2023!) - during which the Window dies are discounted 20%, but are available only while supplies last!
For this 7 5/16" x 4 1/4" side-fold card I used the following additional supplies:
  • Soft Suede cardstock (item 115318) for the card base;
  • Starry Sky cardstock (item 159263) for the "house siding" - after cutting the window opening I scored the panel at 1/4" intervals to replicate clapboard siding - and the hole reinforcer on the sentiment tag, and inside matting panel;
  • Gray Granite cardstock (item 146983) for the "house foundation" - embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder (item 149643);
  • Basic Black cardstock (item 121045) for the interior window frame;
  • Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) for the outer window frame and ledge - I cut and glued together two outer frames and four ledges and them embossed each using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (item 156406);
  • Orchid Oasis cardstock (item 159267) for the sentiment label and tag, and inside panel;
  • acetate (Window Sheets - item 142314) for the window pane;
  • Orchid Oasis patterned paper from the 2022-2024 In Colour 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments (item 159253) for the window blind - the edge cut using the scallop edge die from the Scalloped Contours dies (item 155560);
  • Mango Melody patterned paper from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments - Brights (item 159258) for the window panel below the blind;
  • Basic Gray ink (item 149165) to sponge the embossed Gray Granite cardstock foundation panel, and the edges of the scored Starry Sky cardstock panel;
  • Soft Suede ink (item 147115) to sponge the embossed Crumb Cake cardstock window frame and ledge;
  • watercolour paper (Fluid 100 5" x 7" Watercolour Paper - item 149612) for the die cut grasses, leaves, stems, flowers, and flower centers;
  • Honeybee Blooms dies (item 157951) - to cut the two large grasses;
  • Mossy Meadow ink (item 147111), Starry Sky ink (item 159212), Mango Melody ink (item 147093), Pumpkin Pie ink (item 147086), and Soft Suede ink to colour the grasses, leaves and stems, flowers, and flower centers;
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708) to stamp the sentiments - "Hello" from the Forever Fern stamp set (item 152559);
  • label die from Fabulous Frames dies (item 159163) to cut the "Hello" sentiment label;
  • Tailor Made Tags dies (item 155563) to cut the sentiment tag and hole reinforcer;
  • Linen Thread (item 104199) for the sentiment tag bow; and
  • Classic Matte Dots (item 158146) - two small Basic Black dots added to the "Hello" sentiment label.
For this 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" side-fold card in addition to a piece of the Dainty Flowers DSP behind the window opening I used the following supplies:
  • Gray Granite cardstock (item 146983) for the card base;
  • Rich Razzleberry cardstock (item 115316) for the matting panel;
  • Basic Black cardstock (item 121045) for the window frame (sponged lightly with Craft Stampin' White Ink - item 147277);
  • watercolour paper (Fluid 100 5: x 7" Watercolour Paper - item 149612) for the front panel in which I cut the window opening, and for the die cut leafy stem;
  • Mossy Meadow ink (item 147111) to colour the leafy stem;
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708) to stamp the "Enjoy Today" sentiment (from the Campology stamp set - item 152553) on the Dainty Flowers DSP panel; and
  • Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots (item 159082) - six added to the card front.
Using an envelope punch board I made a co-ordinating envelope from another piece of the Dainty Flowers DSP - the 5/8" gross grain ribbon I used for the envelope bow is from my Dollar Tree stash and is a very close match to Gray Granite!

With such lovely watercolour flower images the Dainty Flowers DSP does not need a lot of extra embellishments if you need a quick but pretty card!
For this 5" x 7" top-fold card I used a 10" x 7" piece of watercolour paper for the card base - keeping the textured side as the "right" side to echo the background texture of the DSP panel.  I used the following additional supplies:
  • Rich Razzleberry cardstock (item 115316) for the matting panel - for selecting a matting panel colour the DSP design offers many colour options!;
  • two strips of Rich Razzleberry patterned paper (flip sides of the same piece of paper) from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments - Regals (item 159256); and
  • two buttons - old Stampin' Up! buttons I had in my stash.
To take advantage of as much of the DSP design as possible I went with a large card size - I also did not add any sentiment as I thought this could be an "any occasion" card.

For this 7 1/8" x 3 3/8" side-fold card I used the following additional supplies:
  • Evening Evergreen cardstock (item 155574) for the card base and matting panel;
  • Boughs of Holly 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 159600) - the vertical stripe patterned paper - matting panel and strip along bottom of inside panel;
  • Distressed Gold 12" x 12" Specialty Paper (item 159237) - matting panel;
  • Gray Granite cardstock (item 146983) - inside panel;
  • Soft Succulent cardstock (item 155776) for the sentiment tag;
  • Cup of Tea stamp set (item 158661) - for the "I miss you" sentiment - stamped using Evening Evergreen ink (item 155576);
  • small tag die from Meadow dies (item 155852) to cut the sentiment tag;
  • Blushing Bride cardstock (item 131198) for the two small hearts -  cut using the small heart dies from the Full Basket dies (item 158679);
  • VersaMark Ink (item 102283) - to stamp the inside image (using VersaMark Ink without embossing powders gives a soft tone-on-tone effect);
  • gold cord from Simply Elegant Trim (item 155766) to tie tag around front panel; and
  • Stampin' Dimensionals (item 104430) - I cut one dimensional in half and used it to adhere the sentiment tag to the card front.
For this 5" x 3 7/8" side-fold card I used the following additional supplies:
  • Pear Pizzazz cardstock (item 131201) for the card base;
  • Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676) for the matting panels - I "ruffled" the edges by scraping the blade of my craft knife along the edges;
  • Flirty Flamingo cardstock (item 141416) for the heart - cut using the heart die from the retiring (and currently discounted 40%) Gingerbread House dies (item 159718);
  • Soft Suede ink (item 147115) - to sponge around the edges of the DSP panels; and
  • Happiness Abounds stamp set (item 159238) - for the two sentiments - both stamped on the DSP panels using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708);
The card's inside DSP panel is the flip side of the card's front DSP panel.

The little tag tied to the neck of the bottle on this 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" top-fold card was cut from a small scrap of the Dainty Flowers DSP - using the small tag die from the Meadow dies (item 155852) - I sponged the edges of the tag with Soft Suede ink (item 147115).  The flowers, flower center, stems, and leaves were cut from watercolour paper (Fluid 100 5" x 7" Watercolour Paper - item 149612) and coloured using the following inks:
  • Mossy Meadow ink (item 147111);
  • Mango Melody ink (item 147093);
  • Rich Razzleberry ink (item 147091); and
  • Soft Suede ink.
To complete the card I used the following additional supplies:
  • Soft Suede cardstock (item 115318) for the card base;
  • Soft Suede ink and the splatter stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set (item 155082) to stamp around the edges of the card front;
  • Abigail Rose 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 159037) - the ledger patterned paper, torn, and sponged with Soft Suede ink;
  • Timber 3D Embossing Folder (item 156406) to emboss a piece of Early Espresso cardstock (item 119686), which was then cut using the 2 3/8" square die from Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183);
  • Vintage Bottle Punch (item 158689) to punch the bottle from watercolour paper - it was then coloured using Soft Suede ink, splattered with water and blotted dry with paper towel, and then edges re-sponged with Soft Suede ink;
  • Linen Thread (item 104199) - to tie the bow around the neck of the bottle; and
  • Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots (item 159082) - one large and one small dot added to the front of the card.
The two little tags (a start for a garden journal!) were cut using the Tailor Made Tags dies (item 155563) - Rich Razzleberry cardstock (item 115316) for the base of both tags and the hole reinforcer for the DSP tag; Gray Granite and Crumb Cake baker's twine (Baker's Twine Essentials Pack - item 155475) for the ties; Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) heart - cardstock first embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (item 156406) and then heart cut using the heart die from the Gingerbread House dies (item 159718).
