Home Sweet Home!

(playing with the Sweet Gingerbread Bundle)

Hello!  Today I am sharing four small projects I worked on this week featuring the new Stampin' Up! Sweet Gingerbread Bundle (item 159719) - from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalogue - which includes the Sweet Gingerbread stamp set (item 159714) and the Gingerbread House dies (item 159718).  The stamp set and dies can of course be purchased individually but when purchased together there is a 10% bundle savings (using the bundle item 159719)!

Sweet Gingerbread Bundle - item 159719

All die cutting for my projects was done using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (item 149653).

Gingerbread House Christmas Gift Tag
I really enjoy making Christmas gift tags - especially large ones!  For this 4 1/8" wide x 5 1/2" tall tag I used the following supplies:
  • Orchid Oasis cardstock (item 159267) for the tag;
  • the new Very Best Trio punch (item 159878) - also from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalogue - to punch the diagonal "tag" corners;
  • Starry Sky ink (item 159212) - used with the two plaid masks from the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks (item 159178) to stencil the background of the tag;
  • white re-inker (White Refill - item 101780) to splatter the background of the stenciled tag (I used a small drop of the re-inker on a clear stamping block, and with a little water and a stiff bristled brush "flecked" the ink onto the tag);
  • Soft Suede cardstock (item 115318) for the gingerbread house and trees;
  • VersaMark Ink (item 102283) and white embossing powder (Stampin' Emboss Powders - Basics - item 155554) to stamp and emboss the "icing" on the house and trees;

I added an eyelet to the tag, and to tie the tag to the gift box I used some of the new Real Red Ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack (item 159577 - from the Mini Catalogue).

Hello Card
For this 4 5/8" x 6 3/8" top-fold card I used the following supplies:

Hi Friend Gift Bag Treat Holder
For this 2 3/4" tall x 1 1/2" deep x 2 3/4" wide gift/treat bag I used the following supplies (this little bag will hold at least three of the individually wrapped Kinder Bueno Mini chocolates):
  • a 9 1/4" x 4 1/2" piece of Highland Heather cardstock (item 146986) for the base of the bag scored as follows:  on the 9 1/4" side at 3/4", 3 1/2", 4 1/4", 5", 7 3/4", and 8 1/2"; and on the 4 1/2" side at 1" on one end [bottom of the bag] and at 3/4" on the other end [the fold-over for the top edge of the bag] - I have included a photo of the cutting/scoring template:
I punched the holes for the handles in the front and back panel approximately 1/2" in from each side and 1/4" down from the top edge.
  • Highland Heather patterned paper from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments - Subtles (item 159255) for the front and back panels;
  • Coastal Cabana cardstock (item 131297) for the house and sentiment tag;  (I cut the chimney from a spare Bermuda Bay ink watercolour house I had left over from the previous project!);
  • Parakeet Party patterned paper from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments - 2022-2024 In Colour (item 159253) for the trees; and, from the same DSP Assortment, a piece of Orchid Oasis patterned paper for the door;
  • Pumpkin Pie patterned paper from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments - Regals (item 159256) for the roof;
  • Basic White cardstock (item 159276) on which to stamp the windows;
  • Mango Melody ink (item 147093) to stamp the windows;
  • Pumpkin Pie cardstock (item 105117) for the heart (I used the medium heart from the Sale-A-Bration Hippo dies - item 159928 - which is available for free during Sale-A-Bration with a $60.00 CDN order [before taxes and shipping]);
  • Memento Tuxedo Black ink (item 132708) to stamp the door and window outlines, the house decoration, and the "Hi friend" sentiment (from the Host stamp set, Sit Stay Relax (item 159152);
  • Teacup dies (item 160186) to cut the sentiment tag;
  • white baker's twine (Baker's Twine Essentials Pack - item 155475) to tie the sentiment tag to the ribbon handles - I used a small hole punch to punch the hole in the top of the tag;
  • 2022-2024 In Colour Matte Decorative Dots (item 159186) - a small Orchid Oasis shaded dot used for the door "handle";
  • double-sided tape (Tear & Tape Adhesive - item 154031) to secure the ribbon handle ends and to adhere the top fold-overs; and
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755).
I added white eyelets to reinforce the holes for the handles.  For each handle I used an approximate 5 1/2" length of ribbon - ribbon from my stash that matched the Highland Heather cardstock remarkably well!  I secured the handles and the front and back top fold-overs before completing the assembly of the bag.

Meadow dies - item 155852

Using an envelope punch board I made a co-ordinating envelope from a piece of the Sale-A-Bration Rings of Love 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper - item 159939.  During Sale-A-Bration this DSP is available for free with a $60.00 CDN order (before taxes and shipping)!  Around the envelope I have tied a bow using Crumb Cake baker's twine (Baker's Twine Essentials Pack - item 155475).

And finally . . .
Love You A Ton Hippo Tag
I couldn't resist another Hippo tag!  In addition to the Sale-A-Bration Hippest Hippos stamp set (item 159921) and Hippo dies (item 159928) - each individually available for free during Sale-A-Bration with a $60.00 CDN order (before taxes and shipping) - I used the following supplies for this 3 3/8" x 2 1/2" tag:
  • watercolour paper (Fluid 100 5" x 7" Watercolour Paper - item 149612) on which to stamp the hippo - I stamped the image using Stazon Jet Black ink (item 101406) and watercoloured using Basic Gray ink (item 149165) and Calypso Coral ink (item 147101) - and on which to stamp the sentiment, also stamped using Stazon Jet Black ink;
  • Coastal Cabana cardstock (item 131297) for the base tag and for the panel behind the hippo;

  • scraps of Bermuda Bay patterned paper from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortments - Brights (item 159258);
  • Bermuda Bay ink (item 147096) to stamp the splatter image from the Painted Poppies stamp set (item 151599) on the matting panel, and the fractured script from the Quiet Meadow stamp set (item 155082) on the base tag, and to sponge the edges of the base tag.  After doing a second generation stamping of the fractured script and sponging the edges of the tag I lightly spritzed the tag with water (Stampin' Spritzers - item 126185) and then did more sponging of the edges;
  • Calypso Coral cardstock (item 122925) to cut the hearts;
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755); and
  • black baker's twine (Baker's Twine Essentials Pack - item 155475).
I used a standard hole punch to punch the hole in the tag and added a black eyelet to reinforce the hole.
