A few Sale-A-Bration projects!

(featuring the Silver & Gold 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper)

Hello!  Today I am sharing a few projects I worked on this week featuring the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Silver & Gold 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (item 159941).  During Sale-A-Bration, which is on now until August 31, 2022, this paper pack is available for free with a $60.00 CDN order (before taxes and shipping) - and is great for when you want to add a little extra glamour to your projects!  There are 24 sheets in the pack - 12 sheets of the two silver foil designs and 12 sheets of the two gold foil designs.  (After I finished the projects I was ready to enjoy the glass of ginger ale!)

On with the projects!

Silver Foil Designs - Table Favours
For these projects I was thinking about table favours for a small bridal shower or tea , , ,

For this 2 3/4" tall x 1 1/2" deep x 2 3/4" gift bag treat holder, which will hold at least three of the individually wrapped Kinder Bueno Mini chocolates, I used the following supplies:
  • a 9 1/4" x 4 1/2" piece of Smoky Slate cardstock (item 131202) scored as follows:  on the 9 1/4" side at 3/4", 3 1/2", 4 1/4", 5", 7 3/4", and 8 1/2"; and on the 4 1/2" side at 1" on one end (the bottom of the bag), and at 3/4" on the other end (the top fold-over for the bag).  I have attached a photo of the cutting/scoring template:
  • two 2 5/8" x 2 5/8" panels of the silver foil patterned DSP for the front and back panels;
  • Brilliant Wings dies (item 155523) to cut the little butterfly from a small piece of silver foil from the Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack (item 156457);
  • a piece of 1 1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon (item 153550) - knotted around the ribbon handles and to which the silver foil butterfly has been glued;
  • Pearl Basic Jewels (item 144219) - one pearl added to the butterfly body;
  • double-sided tape (Tear & Tape Adhesive - item 154031) to secure the ends of the ribbon handles, and to adhere the top fold-overs.  I  punched each of the four holes for the ribbon handles on the front and back panels approximately 1/2" in from each side and 1/4" down from the top edge.  I added white eyelets to reinforce the holes.  For each handle I used a 5 1/2" length of pearl gray satin ribbon I found at Dollarama that matched the Smoky Slate cardstock remarkably well!  I secured the top fold-overs before I completed the assembly of the bag; and
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755).
For this 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" x 3/4" deep lidded box (which holds two of the little chocolates) I used the following supplies:
  • a 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the bottom of the box, scored at 3/4" on all four sides;
  • a 4 5/16" x 4 5/16" piece of the silver foil patterned DSP for the lid, also scored at 3/4" on all four sides;
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755); and
  • 1 1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon (item 153550) to tie the bow around the box.
I used a 1" circle punch to cut the shallow thumb notches in two opposite sides of the lid.

Although I did not use any of the Silver & Gold DSP for this favour, I thought the little white treat holder, made from Basic White Thick cardstock using the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box dies (150644), which is currently available on the Clearance Rack, with the addition of the 1 1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon bow and silver cord (Simply Elegant Trim - item 155766) bow, made a nice compliment to the other two treat holders.  This little treat holder will hold one of the little chocolates - just right for someone who doesn't have too much of a sweet tooth!

Gold Foil Designs - Gift Card (and envelope)
For this 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" gift card I used the following supplies:
  • Coastal Cabana cardstock (item 131297) for the card base;
  • Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183) to cut the circle window in the front panel;
  • a 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" panel of the gold foil patterned DSP glued to the inside of the front panel;
  • a 3 3/8" x 2 5/8" panel of the gold foil patterned DSP glued to the back of the window facing panel;
  • Pool Party cardstock (item 122924) - a 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" piece for the inside sentiment panel (to the bottom of which I glued a narrow strip of the gold foil patterned DSP), and for the flowers;
  • Bermuda Bay ink (item 147096) to stamp the sentiment (from the Happiness Abounds stamp set (item 159238);
  • Bermuda Bay cardstock (item 131197) for the foliage sprigs, and for the center of the large flower;
  • Forever Flourishing dies (item 152714) to cut the two foliage sprigs;
  • Chic dies (item 158815) to cut the three flowers - cut from Pool Party cardstock and gold cardstock (Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock - item 153524);
  • Honeybee Blooms dies (item 157951) to cut the wildflower from gold cardstock (Brushed Metallic 12" x 12" Cardstock - item 153524);
  • gold cord (Simply Elegant Trim - item 155766) - looped under the large flower and secured with a piece of double-sided tape (Tear & Tape Adhesive - item 154031);
  • Pearl Basic Jewels (item 144219) - I added seven to the card front; and
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755).
Using a full 6" x 6" piece of the gold foil patterned DSP I made a co-ordinating envelope using an envelope punch board.  Around the envelope a tied a bow with gold cord (Simply Elegant Trim - item 155766).
