Live Life In Full Bloom Seed Packet Holder

Hello!  Today I am sharing a project that is a result of my continuing "thinking Spring" mindset (which is certainly hard to escape today when I can actually hear the snow melting!)  I thought this project might be a fun little gift idea for anyone who is very much looking forward to the start of the gardening season - perhaps as little favour bags for a gardening society meeting . . .
To make the bag I used the All Dressed Up dies (item 151665) - for the body of the bag I used Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) - which I splattered by flicking a wet paintbrush against an Early Espresso watercolour pencil (Watercolour Pencils - Assortment 1 - item 141709).  For the handles and "pocket" I used Evening Evergreen cardstock (item 155574); and for the "buttons" I used Early Espresso cardstock (item 119686).  Through each button I tied a piece of Linen Thread (item 104199), which I knotted and secured with glue at the back of each button before gluing the buttons to the bag.

From Evening Evergreen cardstock I cut the leaves using the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312).  The "live life in full bloom" sentiment, from the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set (item 157689), was stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink (item 155576) on Basic White cardstock (item 159276).  After cutting out the sentiment label using the Stitched Rectangles dies (item 151820) I lightly sponged the label with Soft Suede Ink (item 147115).  After gluing the label to the bag I added a small Linen Thread bow.  Also using the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set I stamped the two little seed packets on Basic White cardstock using Evening Evergreen Ink - I coloured the flowers using alcohol markers. After cutting the seed packets out using the co-ordinating die from the Rain Boots dies (item 157690) I lightly sponged them with Soft Suede Ink.  The little cultivator tool was also cut using the Rain Boots dies - I cut one out of silver foil (Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack - item 156457) and a partial one (for the handle) out of Early Espresso cardstock.

*The Flowering Rain Boots stamp set and Rain Boots dies are available as a bundle at a 10% savings - as a Bundle the item is 157691 and is featured in the January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue*

Using the Garden dies (item 157918 - which is also available as a Bundle with the Home & Garden stamp set - as item 157919) I cut the trowel and clippers - for the trowel I cut one out of the silver foil and one (for the handle) out of a piece of woodgrain paper from the In Good Taste 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 152494).  For the clippers I cut one out of Early Espresso cardstock and the blades out of the silver foil.  For each of the tools I lightly sanded the silver foil portions and then lightly sponged around the whole tool with Soft Suede Ink.

The little flower pots were cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock (item 153078) and Cajun Craze cardstock (item 119684) using the Window Flower Box dies (item 154335) and were lightly sponged with Soft Suede Ink.  On the larger Cinnamon Cider cardstock flowerpot I also sponged a little White Craft Stampin' Ink (item 147277).

*The Welcoming Window Bundle (item 159529), which includes the Window Flower Box dies and the Welcoming Window stamp set, is one of the bundles being offered at a 20% savings during the Savings Are In Bloom! promotion that runs until March 31, 2022.*
