Hot Chocolate Book Treat Holder

(Makes a great stocking stuffer!)

Hello!  I followed the instructions provided by Krafting Kreations in her December 19, 2011, blog post "Hot Cocoa Gift Package Tutorial" (http://kraftingkreations.blogspot.com/search?q=Hot+Cocoa+Gift+Package+Tutorial) for the construction of this hot chocolate book treat holder, which holds two hot chocolate pouches, a candy cane, and a spoon.  I have used Real Red cardstock (item 102482) for the book and pockets; Basic White Thick cardstock (item 159229) for the mats and snowman; and August - September 2021 Sale-A-Bration Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper for the patterned paper panels.
For the book base you need a piece of cardstock 5" x 8", scored on the 8" side at 3 3/4" and 4 1/4" to create the spine; and for the base of the two dimensional interior pockets two pieces of cardstock 2 3/4" x 4 3/4", which are scored on the 4 3/4" side at 1/4", 1/2", 4 1/4", and 4 1/2" (or 1/4" and 1/2" on both sides); and scored on the 2 3/4" side at 1/2" and 3/4".

For the ribbon closure I adhered the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon (item 156485) to the front and back of the book before I adhered the matted DSP panels.
For the body of the snowman I cut three circles from Basic White Thick cardstock using the Layering Circles dies (item 151770), which I then embossed using the snowflake embossing folder from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders 2 pack - item 155433).  I lightly sponged the edges of the circles with Crumb Cake ink (item 120953).  The branch "arms" are cut from Early Espresso cardstock (item 119686) using the branch die from the Intricate Leaves dies (item 153566).  The top hat is cut from Basic Black cardstock (item 121045) using the Tailor Made Tags dies (item 155563), and the brim is a rectangular strip of approximately 1/4" wide cut from Basic Black cardstock with the pointed ends snipped off each corner.  I lightly sponged the hat and brim with White ink (item 147277).  I used the Giving Gifts dies (item 156563) to cut the holly leaves (Garden Green cardstock - item 102584) and the Real Red cardsock bow.  The Real Red cardstock holly "berries" are the holes from tags cut using the Tailor Made Tags dies.

I added a small silver plastic spoon from Dollar Tree.

I think this hot chocolate book would make a great stocking stuffer for a hot chocolate lover!
