Halloween Treats!

Hello and Happy (Almost) Halloween!  Today I am sharing several Halloween Treat projects.

These three treat bags were all made using the Stampin' Up" All Dressed Up die (item 151665) - the tote bag will hold quite a few treats!
The first bag uses Rich Razzleberry card stock (cs) for the bag and handles; Basic Gray cs (item 121044) for the flower petals and tag; and Basic Black cs (item 121045) for one leaf stem; and Black Glitter Paper (item 153518) for the center and outline of the flower, and for the rest of the leaves.  Additional dies used:  Poppy Moments (item 151594) for the flower and long leaves; Intricate Leaves (item 153566) for the small outline leaves; and Tailor Made Tags (item 155563) for the tag.  I used the Frightfully Cute stamp set (item 156487) for the "to" "from" and cat on the tag, all of which were stamped with Tuxedo Black ink (item 132708).  The bow on the tag is black baker's twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack (item 155475), and I have added a large matte black dot (item 154284) to the center of the flower.

I used Gorgeous Grape cs (item 146987) for the body of the second bag, with an additional front cut from Granny Apple Green cs (item 146990).  Before adhering it to the bag I stamped the Granny Apple Green panel with the "spotty" stamp from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set (item 153365) using Tuxedo Black ink (2nd generation stamping).  I used Gorgeous Grape cs for the label; Basic Black cs for the bag handles, and the witch's hats; and Black Glitter Paper for the spiderweb.  I used a silver gel pen to colour in the buckles on each hat, and the black and purple buttons are again lucky finds from my Dollar Tree button stash!  The label, hats, and spider web were cut using the Frightful Tags dies (item 156492), and the sentiment and hanging spider, stamped in Tuxedo Black ink, are from the Frightfully Cute stamp set (item 156487).  The Frightful Tags and Frightfully Cute stamp set are also available as a bundle - item 156493.

I used Basic Black cs for the body and handles of the third bag, with an additional front panel cut from Magic In This Night DSP (from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue - maybe you have some left over or were lucky enough to grab some while it was recently available on the Clearance Rack).  The tag was cut from Basic White Thick cs (item 159229) using the Tailor Made Tags dies and embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder (item 149643).  I lightly sponged black ink across the embossed tag.  The witch's hat (Basic Black cs), the tree (Basic Gray cs), and the fence (Soft Suede cs - item 115318) were all cut using the Frightful Tags dies. The tag is adhered to a Basic Black label cut using the Encircled In Beauty dies (item 155546), which has been lightly sponged around the edges with White ink (item 147277).  A black baker's twine bow was added to the tag before the tag was adhered to the front of the bag.

Each of the following treat bags were made using the instructions found on https://chicnscratch.com/ - 12 Weeks of Halloween - Week 3 - August 27, 2021.  However, to make the handles I used the strap die from the All Dressed Up dies, and I also made a few of my bags a little shorter. These are a lot of fun to make!

Each of the following milk carton treat holders were made following the instructions found on  https://pootles.co.uk/ - the large milk carton:  "How To Make An Embossed Masculine Milk Carton" July 24, 2020; and the small milk carton:  "The Easy Spotty Milk Carton Tutorial" March 3, 2021).  These were also a lot of fun to make - the large milk carton will hold a lot of treats!!  The little owl is also from the Frightful Tags dies.

The following treat boxes were made following the instructions found on https://pollyspaper.wordpress.com/ (Vintage Treat Bag - Day 2 of 13 Days of Halloween - September 25, 2019), although for the handle of each bag I used a strip of cs approximately 7/8" wide by 8" long.  Theses treat boxes will also hold a lot of treats - so you will have to be generous!  Additional dies I have used:  Poinsettia (item 153522); Stitched Rectangles (item 151820); Encircled In Beauty; Tailor Made Tags; and Frightful Tags.  For the flower treat box I cut the Poinsettia from Cajun Craze (item 119684) to co-ordinate with the Magic In This Night DSP and stamped the flowers with the "spotty" stamp from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set using Tuxedo Black ink. I have lightly sponged one edge of each of the witch's hats with White ink.

This treat holder was made following the instructions for "How To Make A Fun Size Candy Tote With Stampin' Up! Nuts About Squirrels" by Kitchen Table Stamper (found on https://kitchentablestamper.com/ - October 7, 2021).  For the topper I used two cut-down tags cut from Basic Black cs using the Tailor Made Tags die.  The front panel is Granny Apple Green DSP from the Brights 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment (item 155228), and has been splattered using the Basic Black watercolour pencil (Watercolour Pencils - Assortment 1 - item 141709).  Additional dies used:  Frightful Tags (owl and witch's hat); Encirled In Beauty; Layering Circles (Gorgeous Grape cs circle); and Harvest (item 156504) for the branch.. A scrap of Pumpkin Pie cs has been adhered to the back of the owl (Basic Gray cs) and two small Matte Black Dots have been added to the owl's eyes. A Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon (item 156485) bow has been tied through the holes in the two tags.

My last treat holder project is made following the instructions I found for a 2 4 6 8 box on
https://chicnscratch.com/ several years ago.  The box is made from Basic Black cs with Gorgeous Grape DSP panels (from the Brights 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment.  The image is from the Frightfully Cute stamp set and has been stamped in Tuxedo Black ink on Highland Heather cs (item 146986), which has been cut using the small scalloped circle from the Layering Circles dies (item 151770) and adhered over a Black Glitter Paper spiderweb (Frightful Tags dies).  I have used some wired jute twine I found at Dollarama for the handle and have added a Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon (item 156485) bow.  For the outside of each of the holes punched on each side of the box for the wire handle I have glued a black round re-enforcer from the Tailor Made Tags die.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I have used in these projects and you reside in Canada and do not already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, please visit my website archiesatelier.stampinup.net (or click under the "Shop With Me" label on the right side of my blog, which will take you directly to my Stampin' Up! website).

Remember that making your Halloween treat holders takes energy and nobody will blame you for "sampling" the treats!

Have fun creating!
