Today I am sharing a card featuring Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Beautifully Penned designer series paper (DSP). The base of the card is Basic Black cardstock cut at 8" x 4" and scored at 4" to create a 4" x 4" card base. The front mat is cut from Beautifully Penned DSP, measuring 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" to allow for a very narrow black border. The poppy is cut from the Poppy Moments die - two of the flowers are cut: one from Basic Black and one from Crushed Curry. Four leaf branches are cut from Basic Black. The sprig is cut using the Poinsettia die. The leaves and sprig are arranged and glued down before the pieced poppy is adhered. "Hello" is from the Forever Fern stamp set and is stamped in Tuxedo black ink on Thick Basic White, which is then matted with Basic Black. For inside the card I have cut from Thick Basic White a piece measuring 3 1/2" x 3 1/2", which is matted by a piece of Crushed Curry measuring 3 5/8" x 3 5/8", which is then matted by a piece of Beautifully Penned DSP measuring 3 7/8" x 3 7/8". The co-ordinating envelope is made from another piece of Beautifully Penned DSP using an envelope punch board. I always like to make a co-ordinating envelope for a card!
