Life is definitely better when you're crafting!

(starting to play with the Crafting With You Bundle)

Hello!  Today I am sharing a few projects I worked on this week using one of the new bundles featured in the May 2023-April 2024 Annual Catalogue (which launched on May 2, 2023) - the Crafting With You Bundle (item 161226), which includes the Crafting With You stamp set (item 161219) and the Crafting With You dies (item 161225).  As with all Bundles, the stamp set and dies can of course be purchased individually but when purchased together, using the Bundle item number, there is the 10% Bundle Savings.
Crafting With You stamp set - 161219
(Bundle - 161226)

Crafting With You dies - 161225
(Bundle - 161226)

I think there are many great possibilities with this Bundle and I am definitely looking forward to exploring them all!  In addition to the current Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (item 154317), the following are just a few of the retired products - which you may have in your stash and not used for awhile - that I think would also be nice compliments to this Bundle:

  • Button Button Embossing Folder (item 149581); and

Just a brief recap of the basic tools and supplies I used to complete my projects:
  • Paper Trimmer (item 152392) - for cutting cardstock and paper - can also be used for scoring;
  • stylus and scoreboard (Simply Scored Scoring Tool - item 122334) - for scoring fold lines on cardstock, and a Bone Folder (item 102300) for burnishing the score lines to ensure sharp creases;
  • Take Your Pick Tool (item 144107) - paper piercer and tacky putty tips are a great help in picking up and placing small die cuts and embellishments - Stampin' Up! has also introduced a new set of three Take Your Pick Crafter Tips (item 161602) - hobby blade, pick tip, and rotary perforating tip;
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (item 149653) - for all die cutting; and
  • for the main adhesive - Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755).
Now on with the projects!

I made three versions of my first project - a 3 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" wide x 1" deep treat/small gift holder with handles, which I thought would be fun way to present a little treat or small gift to a fellow crafter!  For the base of each holder I used a 9" x 4 1/4" piece of cardstock, scored on the 9" side at 1", 4 1/4", 5 1/4" and 8 1/2" (the 1/2" tab is the side glue tab); and scored on the 4 1/4" side at 1" (bottom flaps).  For the handles I cut circle frames using the 3" and 2 1/8" circle dies from the Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183) - using low-tack tape to hold the dies together on the cutting platform.  I cut two circle frames for each handle, gluing them together with wrong sides together so that there would be a finished edge frame facing out on both sides.  When gluing the handles to the inside of the front and back of the holder I applied glue to about half of the circle frame.

Thank you for visiting my blog!  As always I had a lot of fun working on my projects - life is definitely better when you are crafting!

With the colour refresh introduced with the launch of the May 2023-April 2024 Annual Catalogue it was time to update my Stampin' Up! cardstock sampler:
I used the 2 1/8" circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183) to cut the cardstock samples, a 1/4" hole punch to make the holes that allowed me to feed the samples onto a 1 1/2" book ring.  With the addition of a small ball chain I can hook the sampler over my finger when I am out shopping and wanting to match ribbon or paint.  I printed the colour names to adhesive labels, applied to the back of the circles.  A little time consuming maybe to complete but it certainly does come in handy!  If you are interested in adding the eleven new "core" colours (new and returning colours that have been added to the Brights, Neutrals, Regals, and Subtles colour families) to your cardstock stash but do not want to invest in full packs of each of the colours Stampin' Up! is offering core colour variety packs - in both 8 1/2" x 11" and 12" x 12" sizes - each 22-sheet pack has 2 sheets of each of the eleven colours (item numbers 161702 and 161711 for the 8 1/2" x 11" and 12" x 12" sizes respectively). Having a variety pack will let you see which of the colours will be your favourites and that you will need more of!  Of course there are also variety cardstock packs available for each of the colour families and the 2023-2025 and 2022-2024 In Colours, in both 8 1/2" x 11" and 12" x 12" sizes as well.
