A Few Sale-A-Bration Projects!

(featuring the Wonderful World 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper)

Hello!  Today I am sharing a few projects I worked on this week using the Sale-A-Bration Wonderful World 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  The Wonderful World DSP, combined with the Wonderful World stamp set, is one of the Sale-A-Bration products available for free with a $120.00 CDN order (before taxes and shipping) - item 159918.  Sale-A-Bration continues until August 31, 2022!  Remember that the Sale-A-Bration products are available only while supplies last.  Be sure to check out the additional products that Stampin' Up! has made available as Sale-A-Bration items for the remainder of August - I included a list of these new additions in my August 4, 2022, blogpost:  https://archiesatelier.blogspot.com/2022/08/playing-with-perched-in-tree-bundle.html.

Now on with the projects!  For each project the adhesive used was Multipurpose Liquid Glue (item 110755), and all die cutting was done using my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (item 149653).

Best Wishes Card
For this 4" x 4" side-fold card I "fussy" cut two floral images from the DSP (fussy cutting is not something I truly enjoy but my Paper Snips Scissors - item 103579 - certainly help make the job a little easier!)  From a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of watercolour paper (Fluid 100 5" x 7" Watercolour Paper - item 149612) I cut a circle window using the Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183).  On the watercolour paper frame I splattered Old Olive ink (item 147090), and using the Watercolour Pencils, a little Gorgeous Grape (Watercolour Pencils - Assortment 2 - item 149014),  Behind the circle window I glued the cut out florals.  Before adding the backing decorative paper panel behind the window I tied a Linen Thread (item 104199) bow around the frame.  After adhering the backing panel I then glued the frame to the front of the card.  For the card base I used Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676).  I added two more DSP panels to the inside of the card and added a sentiment panel of Very Vanilla Thick cardstock (item 144237).  The "best wishes" sentiment, from the Happiness Abounds stamp set (item 159238), was stamped on the Very Vanilla Thick cardstock panel using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708).  To complete the card I added four of the Pearl Basic Jewels (item 144219) to the front of the card. Using and envelope punch board I made the co-ordinating envelope.

Lidded Gift Box and Gift Card (with envelope)
For the 3" x 3" x 1 1/2" deep lidded box I used two pieces of Blackberry Bliss cardstock (item 133675) cut and scored as follows:
  • for the base of the box:  6" x 6", scored at 1 1/2" on all four sides; and
  • for the lid of the box:  6 1/16" x 6 1/16", also scored at 1 1/2" on all four sides.
Before assembling the lid I glued on the DSP panels (allowing for an approximate 1/16" border on all sides) and cut the thumb notches on two sides using a 1" circle punch.  Cutting the thumb notches before assembling the lid meant that I had to trim the glue flaps slightly to prevent any overlapping of the thumb notches..  Around the box I tied a bow using some 3/8" white gross grain ribbon I picked up at Dollarama.  Through the center of the ribbon bow I tied a bow using gold cord from Simply Elegant Trim (item 155766).

I also used Blackberry Bliss cardstock for the base of the 3" x 2 1/2" gift card.  I added three DSP panels - one for the front panel and one for each side of the inside of the card.  I cut the small floral circles using the Stylish Shapes dies (item 159183).  For the inside writing panel I used a 2 1/2" x 2" piece of Basic White cardstock (item 159276) and added a narrow strip of DSP to the top and bottom.  To complete the card I added two Pearl Basic Jewels (item 144219) to the front panel's floral circle.  Using an envelope punch board I made a co-ordinating envelope from another piece of the DSP.
