Easter Treat Holders

(part 2 of 2)

Hello!  Today I am sharing a few more of the Easter treat holder projects I have been working on this week - bearing in mind that Easter is fast approaching!  Today with the sun out and very mild temperatures it certainly feels as if Spring has arrived!
For You Bunny Lidded Box
For this 3" x 3" x 1" deep lidded box I cut and scored Balmy Blue cardstock (item 146982) for the bottom and lid as follows:
  • for the bottom - 5" x 5" - scored at 1" on all four sides; and
  • for the lid - 5 1/16" x 5 1/16" - also scored at 1" on all four sides.
After assembling the lid I glued on a Balmy Blue DSP panel (6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Subtles (item 155229) allowing for an approximately 1/16" border.  The bunny image, from the Easter Friends stamp set (item 157737), was stamped on watercolour paper using Stazon Saddle Brown Ink (item 151508) and coloured with watercolour pencils - Early Espresso and Calypso Coral (for the nose) from Watercolour Pencils - Assortment 1 (item 141709) and Balmy Blue from Assortment 2 (item 149014).  The bunny image circle was cut using the Layering Circle dies (item 151770), as was the Soft Suede cardstock (item 115318) scalloped circle used to mat the bunny image circle.  The "for you" sentiment, from the What's Cookin' stamp set (item 154491), was stamped on Balmy Blue cardstock using Soft Suede Ink (item 147115).  Before cutting out the sentiment tag, using the small tag die from the Ornate Frames dies (item 150664), I embossed the cardstock using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (item 152718).  The flowers and leaves were cut using the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312) - the flowers from Balmy Blue cardstock, the leaves from Pear Pizzazz cardstock (item 131201), and the flower center from Soft Suede cardstock.  To the centers of each of the flowers I added one of the Pearl Basic Jewels (item 144219).  To the sentiment tag I tied some Linen Thread (item 104199).  The sheer pale blue ribbon with white polka dots was from my ribbon stash - what crafter doesn't have a substantial ribbon stash?

I think this bunny image would be perfect for baby shower favours too!

Four Carrots Lidded Window Box
This 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 3/4" deep lidded window box holds four small wrapped chocolate carrots.  For the bottom of the box I used a 6" x 4" piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676), scored at 3/4" on all four sides.  For the lid I used a 6 1/16" x 4 1/16" piece of Flowering Fields 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (item 157670), also scored at 3/4" on all four sides.  Before assembling the lid I cut the rectangular window opening using the Stitched Rectangles dies (item 151820) and then adhered the approximately 4 1/8" x 2 1/4" piece of acetate (Window Sheets - item 142314) to the inside of the lid behind the window opening.  I used Crumb Cake cardstock (item 120953) for the tag - which was cut using the Tailor Made Tags dies (item 155563) - and Soft Suede cardstock (item 115318) for the hole reinforcer.  I stamped the dots on the tag using Soft Suede Ink (item 147115) and the dotty stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set (item 152559).  For the carrot I embossed a small piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock (item 105117) using the stripes embossing folder (Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders - item 157980) and then cut the carrot shape using the Stitched Triangles dies (item 152710).  The leafy stem was cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Meadow dies (item 155852) - trimming the leaves from the die cut as required.  I tied the tag to the box using Crumb Cake baker's twine (Baker's Twine Essentials Pack - item 155475).  I think I will include a package of carrot seeds with the treat box!

Duckling Bag Topper
This bag topper is adhered to the "bottom" end of one of the 5 3/4" x 4 3/8" Clear Medium Envelopes (item 102619) - as the self-sealing tab is now at the bottom of the treat bag the treats can be removed from the bag without destroying the bag topper.  I used a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of Bumblebee cardstock (item 153077), scored at 2 1/4" on one side.  Before decorating the bag topper I adhered the cardstock to the "bottom" of the bag by using several strips of double-sided tape (Tear & Tape Adhesive - item 154031) on the underside of both the front and back of the bag topper and sliding the bag in between the layers, lining up each side, and then burnishing with my bone folder (Bone Folder - item 102300) to ensure the bag topper was well and truly stuck to the bag. I stamped the dots on the Bumblebee cardstock using Evening Evergreen Ink (item 155576) and the dotty stamp from the Forever Fern stamp set (item 152559).  The duckling image, from the Easter Friends stamp set (item 157737), was stamped on Basic White cardstock (item 159276) using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708) and coloured with alcohol markers.  The duckling image circle was cut using the Layering Circles dies (item 151770), as were the Evening Evergreen cardstock circle frame and matting scalloped circle.  The flowers and leaves were cut using the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312) - the large flower from Bumblebee cardstock, the medium flowers from So Saffron cardstock (item 105118), the small flowers (including the center for the large flower) from Pumpkin Pie cardstock (item 105117), the medium flower centers from Basic White cardstock, and the leaves from Evening Evergreen cardstock.  To the centers of the large and medium flowers I added one of the  Classic Matte Dots (item 158146) - Basic Black.

And finally . . .

For You Gorgeous Grape Tote Bag
This little tote bag treat holder was made from Gorgeous Grape cardstock (item 146987) using the All Dressed Up dies (item 151665) - I cut two bag sections and both handles from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and one additional front section from Gorgeous Grape DSP from the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper - Assortments - Brights (item 155228).  Before assembling the bag I glued the DSP front to one of the cardstock bag sections. For the flowers, leaves, and handle "fasteners" I used the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312) - the flowers from Daffodil Delight cardstock (item 119683), Bumblebee cardstock (item 153077), and Gorgeous Grape cardstock; the flower center from Basic White cardstock; the leaves from Garden Green cardstock (item 102584); and the handle "fasteners" from Silver Foil (Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack - item 156457).  The "for you" sentiment, from the What's Cookin' stamp set (item 154491), was stamped on Highland Heather cardstock (item 146986) using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (item 132708).  The sentiment tag was cut using the small tag die from the Ornate Frames dies (item 150664).  The butterfly was cut from Highland Heather cardstock using the full butterfly die from the Meadows dies (item 155852) and, for a little shimmer and sparkle, "painted" with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush (item 141897).  I tied the sentiment tag to the handle using silver cord from Simply Elegant Trim (item 155766).
