Magnetic Calendars

Hello!  Today I am sharing two more fun calendar projects, which are very easy and quick to complete - a little paper cutting, die cutting, and gluing!  I started with a Craft Medley 5" x 8" self-adhesive magnetic sheet, which I picked up at Dollar Tree - I used one sheet to complete my two calendars.

In addition to the magnetic sheet, I also used two of the Taylored Expressions 2022 Mini Tear-Off Calendars from the set of ten that I had purchased from a local scrapbooking store; and of course some Stampin' Up! cardstock, designer series paper (DSP), embellishments, and dies!

I cut the magnetic sheet in half so that I had two sheets each measuring 4" x 5".  For each calendar I cut my base cardstock (Basic Black - item 121045; and Misty Moonlight - item 153081) just slightly larger - approximately 1/16" - than the dimensions of the magnetic sheets.  Although the magnetic sheets have a self-adhesive side, I also used glue to adhere the base cardstock to the magnetic sheets - belt and suspenders etc.!!

For my first calendar I used Basic Black cardstock, and You're A Peach DSP (item 155686). I cut the flowers, leaves, and bow using the Pierced Blooms dies (item 154312) - the flowers and bow were cut from Calypso Coral cardstock (item 122925); and the leaves were cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock (item 133676).  I added one of the large Matte Black Dots (item 154284) to the center of the bow.  The green buttons that I glued to the center of each flower are from my stash (and an amazingly close match to the Mossy Meadow cardstock!)

For my second calendar I used Misty Moonlight cardstock, and In Good Taste DSP (item 152494).  I cut the skeleton leaf from Brushed Metallic cardstock (item 153524) using the Intricate Leaves dies (item 153566).  [The Intricate Leaves dies is being discontinued and, as a "Last Chance" product from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue will be available only until January 3, 2022 (and only while supplies last!)].  To the stem of the skeleton leaf I glued a white baker's twine bow (Baker's Twine Essentials Pack - item 155475).  I added a small gold dot from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots (item 156506) to the center of the bow.  The Misty Moonlight doily is a new item from the upcoming January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue:  the 3 1/4" Heart & Home Doilies (item 157956) come in three colours:  Misty Moonlight, Basic Gray, and Cinnamon Cider (each doily is white on the reverse side) and will be available as of January 4, 2022!

I had a lot of fun making these little magnetic calendars and I think they might make a nice little gift for someone to put up on their fridge (or any other magnetic surface!)
